Natural Glass Cleaner

How to clean the exterior glass of a snake terrarium?

We just got a ball python and I would like to get fingerprints off the outside of the "aquarium" glass. I know that I need to use vinegar or another natural cleaner for the interior, but can I use a commercial window cleaner (like Windex) for the outside glass? If not, what can I use as a STREAK FREE exterior glass cleaner?

  1. you can use Windex on the out side of the terrarium. But if you are going to use it on the inside try watering it down first.
  2. The outside isn't really a problem, but just remember that a snake has a very sensitive sense of smell, and using the wrong cleaner could anger it.
  3. what i usually use for my terrarium is windex on the exterior and use some paper towels to dry it out and for the interior just get some wet paper towels do the same. works for me ive been doing this for 2 years.
  4. Ya, you can use Windex or something.
  5. You can but you need to becarful it doesnt get inside the tank, and not to touch the outside of the tank when it is still wet and then touch the inside.... also don't forget the the cleaner does tend to "mist" and some of it can get inside the tank, try putting it on a piece of cloth/paper towel and wipe the tank instead of spraying it right on.... and it may help if you remove the tank first and put it in another bucket/get someone else to hold it, hope that helps! (i personally use warm water/mix with vinegar)
