Natural Glass Cleaner

Can I use oven cleaner to clean the glass door in my gas fireplace?

I have two gas fireplaces and the glass is dirty ---- I have tried regular glass cleaner but it leaves a film. Is oven cleaner okay? Other?

1. It would probably work but I would use the easy off fume free and check the back of the container because I think it is flammable. I use Krud Kutter to clean mine fireplace glass screen. It is non-toxic, fume free, biodegradable and cleans ash and soot very well off of any surface. I discovered it when I had a fire in my home earlier this year. Great stuff because it is cheap and has dilution ratios for almost any job on the back.
2. try mr clean magic erasers. They clean glass very well.
